World Premiere Film Screening of SCARS (Sept. 11)

Join us for the world premiere viewing of SCARS, a movie about a combat medic veteran with PTSD who, upon his return from Afghanistan, fights to save himself and his family’s vineyard. María Echenique presented “A Precursor of ‘Feminism from the Zulos’ by Dahlia de la Cerda” and served as presiding officer and chair of the session Spain, Portugal, and Latin America: Jewish Culture and Literature in Trans-Iberia. Matthew Warshawsky presented “A ‘Tenth Muse’ in 1600s Sephardic Amsterdam: Isabel Rebeca Correa, Translator, Poet, and Feminist” and served as presiding officer and chair of the Jewish Literature and Culture session.
