The Women in Leadership Forum welcomes Shiau Yen Chin-Dennis, managing partner of the Portland office for global law firm K & L Gates, on Tuesday, January 28, at 6 p.m., in Franz Hall room 120. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to hear Shiau Yen’s story of leadership. The Women in Leadership Forum connects the UP community with dynamic women who are leaders in the greater Portland community. The Forum is a place for sharing stories, building connections, and supporting the development of women in leadership.

Learning Lab: Steps To A Successful Career Change with Shari Dunn

Join the Pamplin School of Business on Wednesday, January 22, at 5 p.m., in Franz Hall room 426 for the first Learning Lab of the year. Shari Dunn (executive director of Dress of Success Oregon and UP adjunct instructor) will  lead you through her process of change. Learning Labs are free two-hour workshop sessions that deep dive into an area of leadership and management.

4th Annual Operations & Technology Symposium: October 24

The Pamplin School of Business is pleased to present its 4th annual Operations & Technology Symposium on Thursday, October 24, from 4-7 p.m., featuring keynote speaker Ben Berry, EVP & CIO of the Bonneville Power Administration. This annual event congregates thought-leaders in the operations and technology management field space to spotlight the latest trends, initiate dialogue, and network with fellow professionals. Introducing Learning Labs from the Pamplin School of Business: Oct. 2

The Pamplin School of Business has a new and exciting series named Learning Labs, free 2-hour workshop sessions that deep dive into an area of leadership and management. The first will take place on Wednesday, October 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., in Franz 426. In this session, adjunct instructor Liz Lockhart will share a simple framework for identifying, navigating, and leading change. The Women in Leadership Forum connects students, faculty, and staff with dynamic women who are leaders in the Portland community. The Forum is a place for sharing stories, building connections, and supporting the development of women in leadership. Salomone will share her experiences as a woman leader in STEM and academia, as well as insights she’s gained around inclusion, equity, and mentorship.

Women in Leadership Forum Returns March 19

March 15, 2019

Pamplin School of Business alumna Julie Stillwell Culp will be the fourth guest speaker in the Women in Leadership Forum series on Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m., in Franz Hall room 120. She will be the final speaker of the year. Please RSVP as soon as possible by using this link.

Stillwell Culp started her career as director of admissions at St. Mary’s Academy, then worked at Target in human resources, and now serves as a regional director at Audigy. In that role, she supports teams who build recommendations in operations, finance, marketing, human resources, and professional development for business owners based on opportunities to increase market share.

The Women in Leadership Forum is a place for sharing stories, building connections, and supporting the development of women in leadership.

Women In Business Showcase, March 11

The Pamplin School of Business Education Series is pleased to announce the kick-off of Women in Business Showcase, hosted at the Portland Art Museum on Monday, March 11, 4-7 p.m.

The showcase shares the stories of C-level female professionals and how they rose to the top, featuring Shannon Riggs of Finn Partners as emcee, and moderator Julia Meskel of the Portland Art Museum.

The C-Executive Panel will include:

  • Paula Hayes, CEO, Hue Noir Cosmetics
