Fourth of July Holiday: Classes Out, Offices Closed

The Independence Day holiday will be observed for University employees on Tuesday, July 4, according to the 2017 University holiday schedule. All University offices will be closed and classes will not be held. For more information, contact human resources at 8981 or hr@up.edu. Still Room in Pilot Kids Camp: Registration Open Now

Pilot Kids Day Camp registration for summer 2017 is now open. The camp is for children entering grades 1-6 in fall 2017 and is staffed by University of Portland students, who lead small groups of campers in active games and sports as well as arts and crafts and drama projects. María Echenique presented “A Precursor of ‘Feminism from the Zulos’ by Dahlia de la Cerda” and served as presiding officer and chair of the session Spain, Portugal, and Latin America: Jewish Culture and Literature in Trans-Iberia. Matthew Warshawsky presented “A ‘Tenth Muse’ in 1600s Sephardic Amsterdam: Isabel Rebeca Correa, Translator, Poet, and Feminist” and served as presiding officer and chair of the Jewish Literature and Culture session.
