The University is hosting author and alumna Brigid Schulte on Wednesday, April 9, in the Bauccio Commons as she reads from her best-selling book, Overwhelmed: Work, Love And Play When No One Has The Time. There will be a reception at 6:30 p.m. with her lecture to follow at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to faculty, staff, students and the public.
Schulte graduated from UP in 1984 and Columbia School of Journalism in 1987. She has been a reporter at the Washington Post since 1999 and has been a Schwarz Fellow at the New America Foundation since 2011. Prior to working at the Washington Post, she was a national correspondent for Knight-Ridder news service. Overwhelmed was the top-selling business book on Amazon in early March and among the top-ten best-selling books overall on the world’s largest online retailer.
