Baseball is back in full swing on the Bluff, and this week the Pilots will be taking on Oregon, followed by a three-game series with Santa Clara. The Pilots are set to play Oregon on Tuesday, March 28, with the first pitch set to take place at 6 p.m. Then on Friday night, the Pilots return to take on Santa Clara, with the first game set to begin at 6 p.m. The second game of the series will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the third and final game on Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are available now for these great match-ups! 2017 Pilot Baseball Diamond Dinner: Saturday, March 11
There is limited space available for the 2017 Diamond Dinner, Pilot baseball’s premier event, taking place on Saturday, March 11. The dinner will be held in the Beauchamp Recreation and Wellness Center and will feature Portland baseball alumni Gus Little and Travis Vetters as guest speakers. Last Men’s Home Games This Week: Airplane Toss, Senior Night
The Pilots men’s basketball team will end their 2016-17 season with their two last home games this week. On Monday night the Pilots will take on Walla Walla University, game starting at 5 p.m. This game will be open to the public and will feature a $5 food option for all faculty and staff. Join us again on Thursday night as the Pilots take on BYU, game starting at 7 p.m. This game will feature the fan favorite annual halftime paper airplane toss. Pilots vs. Pacific and San Francisco This Week
Join the athletics office this week to watch the Pilots men’s basketball team in action as they take on Pacific on Thursday night, followed by San Francisco on Saturday night. Thursday’s match-up will be a Battle of the Blazers as Terry Porter takes on former Blazer and Pacific head coach Damon Stoudamire. Saturday’s game versus San Francisco will host a pre-game Brewfest. The athletic department would like to acknowledge this year’s winners of the Difference Award. Each year, student-athletes nominate a UP professor who has made a difference in their lives. The definition is left intentionally vague, allowing students to reflect on the many ways a professor may have made a difference to them. This year, four professors were selected as our winners:

- Paddy McShane, philosophy
- Lydia Towell, mathematics
- Shazib Vijlee, engineering
These individuals will be honored at the men’s basketball game on Thursday, February 16, at 7 p.m., in the Chiles Center. Please come out and enjoy the game and congratulate our winners for their support of all students on campus, including our student-athletes.
Father-Daughter Basketball Clinic Coming Feb. 4

Pilots fans! The big game is tonight–Monday, January 23 at 5 p.m.–as the Pilots take on the no. 4 Gonzaga Bulldogs.
