The University remembers Fr. Ron Wasowski, C.S.C., for his years of service to the University community as pastoral minister, professor, and scientist. A memorial post from the University Archives and Museum about Fr. Wasowski’s work at the University and a gallery of photos are found at this link.
To complement the online display, there is a memorial display for Fr. Wasowski with photos, articles, and some of his personal memorabilia in the Buckley Center first floor display case near the Studies Abroad office.

Professor emeritus and former library director Rev. Joseph P. Browne, C.S.C., passed away on October 30, 2016, at 87 years of age. The University remembers Fr. Browne for his years of service to the University and as director of the Clark Library until his retirement in 1994. A University museum and archives memorial post about Fr. Dr. James T. Covert, professor emeritus in history and founder and first director of the University of Portland Museum, passed away on October 13, 2016, at 84 years of age. The University Museum and Archives mourn his death and remember Dr. Covert for his dedication and commitment to teaching, generous service to the University, and preservation of UP history in his 36 years on The Bluff.
