The next Third Friday Supervisor Training is scheduled for Friday, September 23, (which happens to be the fourth Friday in September) from 10 to 11 a.m., in the second floor conference room in the Clark Library. The topic of the training is “Recruitment Best Practices” and will focus on providing managers and supervisors with useful information for assessing candidate pools, fostering diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process, and other recruitment related best practices.

Every third Friday of the month, human resources director Sandy Chung and assistant director Bill Jenkins will hold workshops for supervisors. The workshops will take place from 10-11 a.m. in the Waldschmidt fifth floor conference room. The first Third Friday Workshop, scheduled for April 22 at 10 a.m., is about performance management and annual evaluations. HR will provide information about how to provide constructive feedback to employees, how to conduct annual performance evaluations, and how to conduct performance improvement plans.
