All University community members are invited to wish public safety director Gerry Greg a fond farewell on Wednesday, June 26, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., in the Pilot House. Gerry is retiring at the end of the month. Please come by and offer your personal thanks for all that he and the Department of Public Safety have done for UP faculty, staff, and, in particular, our students. A short program will start at about 4:15 p.m.
Gerry Gregg’s leadership has centered on supporting the work of his team and instilling a culture of service. One of his mottos has been “No call is too small.” Gerry has been a champion for the critical role Public Safety plays in the life of the University, and in particular in the education of our students. It is during these formative encounters with students that important lessons and a good deal of adult learning happens. According to Rev. John Donato, C.S.C., “Gerry really epitomizes a Holy Cross education of the mind and heart.”
