Scheduling Library Sessions for Spring Semester
With the end of one year comes the time to plan for the next. The end of the fall semester is a great time to schedule library instruction before the calendar fills up. Librarians are ready to work with faculty to tailor sessions to their students’ research needs. Classes typically meet in the Clark Library’s classroom on the upper floor.
To schedule instruction for spring 2016, please e-mail preferred dates and times, along with course number, to library@up.edu.
Whisper Week in the Clark Library
Faculty and staff who visit the library this week are reminded that it’s time to be quiet as students prepare for exams. Please help by keeping things to a whisper, including at the Service Desk. All floors of the library are for quiet study through December 17.
On December 18, the library closes at 5 p.m., and will reopen the following Monday at 8 a.m. The full holiday schedule is available on the library website.
Clark Library: Spring 2016 Course Reserves
Clark Library staff processed over 2,300 print and online reserves for Fall semester. Now they are ready to tackle Spring semester course reserves. Library staff handle copyright screening and scan materials to meet accessibility standards. If you plan to reuse items that were previously on reserve, let us know and we can find that list in our archive. For new course reserves, e-mail a list of citations to library@up.edu or fill out the online form. Please include the course name, course number, instructor, and number of students enrolled in each section.
Questions? Stop by the service desk, call x7111, e-mail library@up.edu, or visit the Reserves FAQ.
3D Ornament Design Contest

The winning designs will be 3D printed and displayed on the Clark Library Christmas tree. Those who are unfamiliar with 3D design don’t need to feel left out. The lab provides access to Blender software and tutorials for Tinkercad.
Visit the Digital Lab website for all of the contest details.
