Every October, the Clark Library invites the entire campus to a reception honoring UP faculty, staff, and student authors who have published in the previous academic year. It’s a great opportunity to get a firsthand look at the depth of talent and areas of research and creativity from our very own. Some of these publications are freely available through Pilot Scholars, the University’s institutional repository.
2017 Ninth Annual Reception: All students, staff, and faculty are invited!
WHEN: Thursday, October 5th, 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Clark Library, Upper Floor in the Parberry Room
How are publications selected?
All featured publications represent works published between June 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016. Please note that as of 2016, the library will no longer compile a companion UP Authors Bibliography.
The Clark Library prepares a list of student authors based on information reported in the Scholarly Activity Tool. The library will also ask faculty to notify us of any student-authored publications.
In late June, the Clark Library reaches out to staff through PilotsUP to request information on works they may have published.
Obtaining Display Copies for the Reception
Copies are acquired through our subscriptions, from our collection, or through Interlibrary Loan. If copies can’t be located, they are requested directly from the authors.
