Printing and Mailing Services Moving

scroggy copyFaculty are asked to send spring 2015 course packs to the print shop now to ensure that they are completed on time. Please e-mail them in PDF format to printjobs@up.edu.

Printing and mailing services will be relocating to the west end of Tyson Hall, with equipment being moved the week of December 15-19, according to director Mary Scroggins. Printing services will not be printing course packs during the week of December 15-19 and will not be fully functional in the new space until the start of the new year. Continue to watch upbeat for more information on how this move will impact offices and departments.

Printing & Mailing Services Hours for Inauguration Events

Mailing oldThis week’s Inauguration events will impact hours of operation for the mailing services and printing services offices, according to director Mary Scroggins.

Mailing services will close at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24; there will be only one mail run to Waldschmidt Hall at 11 a.m. On Friday, September 26, mailing services will close at 2 p.m., with only one run to Waldschmidt Hall at 11 a.m. All packages and items must be ready for mailing/shipping no later than 1:30 p.m. for processing both days; packages and mail will be dropped at St. John’s postal service at 2 p.m.

Printing services will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24; closing time on Friday, September 26 will be 2 p.m. Please be sure to pick up all print jobs before this time as both printing and mailing services will be closed for Inauguration events.

Fall Course Packs Due July 30

course packsAll faculty and instructors must turn in their course pack materials for fall semester to the printing services office by July 30, according to Kassie Hansen, printing services. Astute readers will notice that July 30 is a past date; those who have not turned in materials are asked to do so as soon as possible. The lead time is needed so printing services staff can obtain copyright permissions and organize the packs for production before the start of the fall 2014 semester. Some copyright requests take up to six weeks to obtain—please keep this in mind so we are better able to serve your needs prior to the start of school. This allows the publication team to schedule production throughout the summer. Please estimate usage for the next academic year and order accordingly. Letterhead is available by the ream (500 sheets) or by the case (4,000 sheets). Envelopes are available by the box (500) or by the case (2,500). Stationery Orders Due Soon

course-packsUniversity administrative assistants and office managers are asked to order stationery for the fall 2014 semester, according to Linda Gill, printing services. An order form is available at http://tinyurl.com/lybl8ty. It can be filled out and submitted to stationery@up.edu. Printing services would like to be able to schedule printing of departmental letterhead and envelopes over the summer break. For more information contact Mistie Calcagno, printing services, at 8115.

New Printer Installation, Feb. 26-27
