The University of Portland Wind Symphony and Women’s Chorale will perform in concert on Saturday, November 23, at 7:30 p.m., in Buckley Center Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. The photography of Ansel Adams will be celebrated in a new composition by Steve Danyew entitled “The World Alive,” featuring the Wind Symphony performing in conjunction with a short film based on Adams’ work. During the concert, senior flutist Kristin Wishon will take center stage in a performance of Joel Puckett’s “The Shadow of Sirius,” inspired by the poetry of W.S. Merwin.
