Nestled between Mehling Hall and the physical plant is the home of Catholic radio station KBVM. The station, named in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, first went live in the Portland area on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, December 8, 1989. Since then KBVM’s broadcasting has expanded to a sister station in the Eugene and Springfield area, and listeners can also follow KBVM online. The University archives and museum honor this milestone for KBVM in their latest blog post, along with some photos of UP and Holy Cross guests on KBVM radio, at http://tinyurl.com/n5euh2b.
