The Pamplin School of Business has announced a new certification program, Marketing for Impact, which begins September 10, 2016. Classes will take place on Saturdays from September 10 to October 29, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., with lunchtime. Students will learn critical communications skills in an eight week marketing certification course tailored for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, social innovators, and any cause-driven professionals who need to market big ideas on small budgets. Course modules will include foundations of strategic communications and brand identity, putting identity into action, crafting and telling a story for impact, and measuring and growing your communications. Prior experience in marketing and communications is not required.
Learn the fundamentals of building strategy and brand while accelerating tactical skills in key areas of implementation including developing an online presence, mastering digital media, managing public relations, preparing for crisis communications and planning a communications budget. Course participants will learn from a curated network of professional experts, academics, and local changemakers. Integrated networking and practicum components ensure a head start to building an impactful marketing community and presence upon course completion.
