The College Ecology Club will present its annual Fixit UP event on Thursday, March 21, from 3 to 6 p.m., in the Makers Space in Shiley Hall. Members of the UP community are welcome to bring in broken items such as small electronics, clothing with holes, and jewelry that needs a little TLC, and volunteer fixers can fix them for free.
The club needs volunteers, such as bike mechanics, sewers, electronics fixers, jewelry fixers, and others, to help them hold this event. If you are interested in participating in this event, or know anyone who would like to, please let organizers know as soon as possible. Contact Maya Hurst at hurstm19@up.edu, and let her know your skill and if you have your own supplies for fixing stuff (e.g. sewing machines, tools), or if you will need tools to be provided.
