The Garaventa Center will host three events this week, according to Jamie Powell. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend:
- International Prayers for Peace, Tuesday, November 11, 2 p.m., International Peace Garden (Buckley Center patio).
- Stanford economist (and 2006 UP alumnus) Adam Bonica will explore reasons why the U.S. political system has failed to counterbalance rising inequality in a lecture, “Why Hasn’t Democracy Slowed Rising Inequality?”, on Tuesday, November 11, at 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, in the Bauccio Commons executive boardroom.
- Rev. Pat Hannon, C.S.C. (pictured), will present a book reading and conversation drawn from his experiences as a priest, memories of his childhood, and more on Thursday, November 13, at 7:15 p.m., in the Pilot House.
