The Pilot women’s tennis team recently received a national ranking of No. 7 for their incoming recruiting class among all mid-majors. The team signed a pair of WTA-ranked players last month, the first ever for the program. Portland has the second best incoming class in the West Coast Conference, behind only BYU. Women’s Tennis: the women’s tennis team returns to action at University of Portland’s Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center this Saturday to take on San Diego. Matches start at 10 a.m. and admission is free for all fans.
Faculty and staff, mark your calendars! The 16th Annual UP Day at Joe Ezel Field has been scheduled for Friday, April 5 at 3 p.m., when the Pilots baseball team takes the mound versus the visiting Gonzaga Bulldogs. All employees and family members are welcome to attend the game at no charge and also enjoy complimentary hot dogs (vegetarian alternative available as well), chips, and soda courtesy of Bon Appetit. In addition to food, there will also be prizes raffled off every half-inning. Department heads and office directors are encouraged to allow as many employees to attend the game as possible.
