A Weekend of Soccer: October 26-29

Join the Pilots this weekend for a four day, four team match up. First, cheer on the women as they take on San Diego this Thursday at 7 p.m. Then, start your weekend right and join us again Friday as the men take on Santa Clara. Last Two Home Games for Pilot Soccer

soccer ballThe Pilot soccer season ends this weekend with two home games at Merlo Field. The women’s soccer team plays first with a Saturday night game versus San Francisco that is set to start at 7 p.m. Then the men’s soccer team takes the field on Sunday afternoon for a 1 p.m. kickoff versus Pacific. Both of these games will feature a special pre-game ceremony to honor the senior soccer players. Tickets for the games are still available for purchase at the Pilots box office or by calling ext. 7525.

Pilots Soccer season kicks off

soccerJoin the Pilots men’s and women’s soccer teams this weekend as the season continues with two home games at Merlo Field.

The Pilots women’s soccer team kicks off their first regular season game against Oregon State University on Friday, August 21 at 7 p.m.

The Pilots men’s soccer team has an exhibition game against Seattle University on Saturday, August 22 at 7 p.m. The regular season opens up for the men on Friday, August 28 against No. 9 Michigan State during Freshman Orientation.

Wednesday Ticket Happy Hour

happy-hour-19421079Every Wednesday until August 13, from 2 to 3 p.m., the Pilots Box Office will be running a “Happy Hour” with exclusive ticket deals for the upcoming 2014 men’s and women’s soccer season. On Wednesday, July 23, general admission mini-packs are on sale for $25. The mini-pack features 1 ticket to each of the following women’s soccer games: Stanford on August 30, Washington on September 28, Saint Mary’s on October 5, and Loyola Marymount on October 26. It also allows the choice of 1 men’s soccer game of your choice. The original price on this ticket pack is $35, plus every pack sold will come with your choice of a Pilots Wheel T-shirt (limited sizes available) or seat cushion.

Looking Forward to UP Soccer

soccerThe 2013 men’s and women’s soccer schedule has been released and features a total of 25 home games between the two teams. The women’s schedule features 6 home games versus teams that made the 2012 NCAA playoffs, while the men’s schedule features 5 home games versus 2012 NCAA playoff opponents. Faculty and staff can reserve season tickets now, starting at just $88 for new season tickets only, general admission seats. Current season ticket holders can expect renewal information in the mail in the near future. All University of Portland faculty and staff can receive 50 percent off their season ticket purchase by visiting the box office and presenting a valid UP ID card.
