Need a bike? Stop by the annual Nicaragua Immersion bike sale, where the Moreau Center will be selling used bikes for a great price! The sale will be taking place Thursday, September 14, from 1:30-6 p.m., in front of the library. All proceeds will go directly to the Nicaragua Immersion service trip.

The Nicaragua Immersion Silent Auction and Gift Basket drawing is coming soon, according to Theresa McCreary, Moreau center. It will take place from Monday, December 1 through Friday, December 5, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Bauccio Commons hallway.
Donations are still needed! Proceeds of the Silent Auction &andGift Basket drawing benefit UP students who will be going on the Nicaragua Immersion in May 2015. The students are responsible for fundraising for this valuable learning experience, and the Silent Auction is one of their largest fundraisers. Last year many departments on campus generously and imaginatively created fabulous gift baskets to be included in the silent auction.
Individuals (crafters or shoppers) are encouraged to donate an item to be included in the gift basket to be raffled off to one lucky winner. Donations can be dropped off in the Moreau Center in St. Mary’s. This is a great fundraiser for our entire community. We appreciate your participation.

Donations from faculty and staff have been the backbone of the success of the annual Silent Auction fundraiser for the Moreau Center’s Nicaragua Immersion service program. All faculty, staff, students, and UP friends are welcome to participate in the Silent Auction, either as a donor of items or a bidder. This fun annual event is coming up the week after Thanksgiving in the Bauccio Commons. The students going on this immersion need items for the auction. In the past, many departments and individuals have put together unique and generous gifts and baskets for this auction. If you have any questions or need help with ideas, please contact Theresa McCreary, campus ministry, at 7131 or mccreary@up.edu.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to donate items for the upcoming rummage sale to benefit the Nicaragua Immersion or stop by on Saturday, April 27, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., to explore items for sale. Smaller donations can be dropped off at the Moreau Center during office hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m.-noon, 1-4:30 p.m.) before the sale. For larger donations, like furniture, e-mail hogan13@up.edu to make other arrangements. Nearly anything will help but no clothing items are needed.
