Nominations Due for Oddo Scholarship by April 13

Shortly after his untimely death in 1989, University president Rev. Thomas Oddo, C.S.C., was memorialized by faculty, staff, students, and friends with the establishment of an endowed scholarship fund named after him. Every year the University awards scholarship funds in Fr. Oddo’s name to one or more students who meet a set of criteria which includes demonstrated commitment to service and to service learning. Criteria for the Father Thomas C. Oddo, C.S.C. Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Junior or senior student standing in the 2019-2020 school year
  • Demonstrated commitment to service and service learning
  • Open to any academic major.

Moreau Center Holiday Open House: Come One, Come All!

The Moreau Center for Service & Justice needs faculty and staff to help them out. Donations are the backbone to the success of this fundraising event. People may donate individually or as a group. We appreciate a wide range of items, from inexpensive to expensive, purchased or handcrafted, gifts of time or services, gently used items in great condition, or gift cards large or small. We request that items be delivered to the Moreau Center office in St. Mary’s before Thanksgiving. Thank you in advance for your support.

Solemnity of All Saints, Nov. 1

Friday, November 1 is the Solemnity of All Saints Day, meant to honor all the saints, known and unknown, who have attained the beatific vision in Heaven. Masses will be celebrated in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher at 12:05 p.m. and at 4:45 p.m.

Blessing for the Vocation of Marriage, Feb. 14

For World Marriage Day (Feb. 10) and Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14), all married people will be blessed for their vocation of marriage during the 12:05 p.m. Mass on Thursday, February 14, in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher. All are welcome to attend Mass.

Silent Auction for Tanzania Immersion, Nov. 27-30

November 23, 2018

The annual Silent Auction fundraiser to benefit the Tanzania Immersion service trip is coming up, from  Tuesday, November 27 to Friday, November 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Bauccio Commons.

Please stop by to meet the students who will be participating in this immersion and bid on some amazing gift items in a wide range of prices. There are beautiful gift baskets, artwork, homemade tasty treats prepared by UP staff, vintage items, certificates for services including babysitting and a photoshoot,  and a four hour boat ride for 8-10 people!
