The University will host the 33rd annual Summer Conference, “And It Was Good: Creation and the Spirit of God,” on July 29-August 2. The keynote speaker will be Fr. John Haughey S.J., formerly a senior fellow at the Woodstock Theological Center in Washington, D.C., in the Science and Religion program and the Arrupe Program in Social Ethics for Business. For the last 33 years, nationally respected theologians have joined the Summer Conference community to explore the intersection of Catholic faith and the modern world. Past keynote speakers include Fr. Robert Barron, Cardinal Basil Hume, Peter Chirico, Matt Baasten, Fr. Stephen Rowan, Fr. Ray Kemp, Fr. Larry Boadt, and Mount Angel Abbey’s Fr. Jeremy Driscoll, O.S.B. Lara Trout, philosophy, will conduct a class at this year’s conference.
