Full-time University of Portland employees who have student loans may be able to receive loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program since they work for a not-for-profit organization. This information comes from the Federal Student Aid Office, which monitors the program.
The major draw for this program is that the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program “forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.”
