The Office of Undergraduate Scholarly Engagement announces that applications are now being accepted for spring 2015 to participate in the first Provost’s Initiative on Undergraduate Research. Are you an experienced collaborator with student researchers? Are you new to the concept? Either way, there are opportunities for you. Five grants of $1,000 will be given to faculty members with experience pursuing collaborative research with undergraduates, and five grants of $1,000 will be given to faculty members who have never tried it but are interested in taking the plunge. Experienced researchers can apply to serve as faculty mentors for less experienced faculty members; each mentor receives $150 for the semester.
