The human resources office would like to remind all employees that the annual Open Enrollment period ends on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 3 p.m. All employees are required to confirm or change their healthcare benefits by logging in to the Open Enrollment Tool. If you are electing Share the Savings for 2017, you will also need to provide proof of coverage by submitting information via the Share the Savings Form. Share the Savings will not continue in 2017 without new proof of coverage.
Everyone who wishes to enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts for 2017 must complete a new enrollment form and return the form to HR or use Discovery Benefits web enrollment before Open Enrollment ends. Discovery Benefits web enrollment will be available beginning Tuesday, November 8. If you elected a 2016 Medical FSA, you can carry over unused dollars from $20 to $500. Balances over $500 and less than $20 that remain as of December 31, 2016, and for which you have no reimbursable 2016 services or items, will be lost entering the 2017 year. The annual maximum election for Medical FSA will be $2,600; the maximum election for Dependent Care FSA will be $5,000.
