The 2019 employee contribution limits to 403(b) accounts have been set by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Employees can contribute up to $19,000 to their 403(b) plans in the 2019 calendar year. For those age 50 and over, an additional “catch-up” amount of $6,000 is allowed by the IRS for a total maximum limit of $25,000. Those who wish to change their individual retirement contributions for 2019 can do so by filling out the Voluntary Retirement Contribution Form on the Human Resources Benefits website and email the completed form back to benefits@up.edu.
