On Tuesday, August 19, at 3:00 p.m., we will be honoring Jim Kuffner ’88, the visionary leader who planned the purchase and rehabilitation of 35 acres along the Willamette River, now known as the Franz River Campus. He orchestrated long-term partnerships between UP and the City of Portland, the DEQ, EPA, the Oregon Dept. of State Lands, tribal representatives, and other private entities. In good faith, Jim Kuffner persisted, and the land which was once known for its industrial plants and hazardous waste, now offers a rehabilitated shoreline, native plants, sports fields and an environmental center.
Date & Time of Event: August 19, 3:00 p.m. | Franz River Campus
Please join us in thanking Jim, for his leadership and stewardship of this land.
