A number of media outlets published Aziz Inan’s list of palindrome dates with two-digit year numbers from 2001-2100: KVAL.com, KCBY.com, KOIN.com, KATU.com, and NBC16.com. Also, KATU interviewed Inan on campus in the Vollum Study Room in Shiley Hall regarding the 11 palindrome dates to occur in this month, including the date 8/1/18, and appeared on the 11 p.m. news that night. He also designed the palindrome day images included with the stories.

Lauren Alfrey, sociology, published a book chapter, “Compassionate capitalism: Tax breaks, tech companies, and the transformation of San Francisco,” which appears in The Routledge Handbook on Spaces of Urban Politics, edited by Kevin Ward, Andrew E.G. Jonas, Byron Miller, and David Wilson. This chapter is part of her ongoing research on social inequality and the tech industry.
