Courtney Campbell and Matt Daily, Shepard Academic Resource Center, each presented at the 2018 Oregon Academic Advisor Association conference in Bend, Oregon. Courtney presented “Improv(ing) your advising practices,” how improv comedy frameworks can strengthen academic advising conversations. Matt presented “First to Go, First to Create: How to create and sustain a supportive first generation student initiative from scratch.”
Bonnie Parks, library, presented “System Migrations from a Consortial Acquisitions Perspective,” on June 24, at the American Library Association annual conference in New Orleans, LA.
Gary Malecha, political science, has been named as a Tyson Professor on his return to full time teaching, in recognition of his exceptional leadership as interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
