Lorretta Krautscheid, nursing, Jeff Kerssen-Griep, communication studies, and Larizza Limjuco, nursing, received grant funding from Sigma Theta Tau, Omicron Upsilon Chapter for the education project titled “Transdisciplinary communication education for clinical instructors: Promoting moral agency and effective advocacy among clinical role models.”
Barbara Braband, nursing, Rebecca Gaudino, theology, and Anissa Rogers, social work, were the recipients of the national Innovative Teaching in Social Work Education Award given by the Council on Social Work Education and SAGE Publishers for their work on an interview and PhotoVoice project designed to help students develop empathy, self-reflection, and other skills when working with grief, loss, and suffering. They also presented a workshop on this project at CSWE’s Annual Program Meeting in October. See a press release on the award here.
