Aziz Inan, engineering, had his mathematical brain teaser honoring Marie Curie published on the Scientific American blog.

Caitlin Cairncross, engineering, a STEP program counselor and graduate student advisor since August 2014, has accepted a new position in talent acquisition at Zapproved. The Shiley School of Engineering gives many thanks to Caitlin for her unwavering commitment and service to the students, school, and university. Good luck, Caitlin!

Andrew Guest, psychological sciences, made a presentation titled “Interdisciplinary Teaching: Sociological and Psychological Lenses on Sport in Tandem” at the meetings of the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport on November 4 in Windsor, Ontario.

Min Yu, business, published “Consumer learning of product quality with time delay: Insights from spatial price equilibrium models with differentiated products” (with Dong Li, Anna Nagurney) in International Journal of Management Science – Omega, October 2017.

Heather Dillon, engineering, published “The Impact of Transient Heat Transfer on Tissue Culture Cell Distribution” (with Jeffrey Brown, Arden Harada, and Dorcas Kaweesa) in Biosystems Engineering. Vol 163, Pages 28-36.

Patricia Cox, nursing, was a panel speaker on self-care techniques for nurses at the Portland Area American Holistic Nurses Association Seasonal Mini-Workshop Series, “Bringing Holistic Nurses and Students Together,” on Sunday, November 5, 2017.
