John Watzke, education, presented “Building Capacity Through Partnership: The Multnomah County Partnership for Education Research” (with co-presenters: Jacqueline Waggoner, Bruce Weitzel, Nicole Ralston, and Rebecca Smith) at the annual Oregon Program Evaluation Network conference, October 4, 2017, in Portland, Oregon.
Tammy VanDeGrift, engineering, served on a panel and presented a paper at the Northwest Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges at Washington State University, Tri-Cities on October 6-7, 2017. Along with three other faculty in Oregon, she was a panelist for “Strategies for Increasing Undergraduate Women in Computer Science,” presented a paper, “Implementation Projects in a Computing Theory Course” that will appear in the Journal of Computing Sciences in Colleges, and served on the conference organizing committee as the partners/vendors chair.
