Sharon Hogan, development, has been chosen as the 2017 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, to be presented at the Northwest Planned Giving Roundtable Conference on September 28.
Rev. Thomas E. Hosinski, C.S.C., professor emeritus of theology, recently had his book, The Image of the Unseen God: Catholicity, Science, and Our Evolving Understanding of God, published by Orbis Books. It is a volume in a series entitled “Catholicity in an Evolving Universe” under the general editorship of Ilia Delio. The book is available in the University Barnes & Noble Bookstore.
Jon Stanfill, theology, was a fellow at the NEH Summer Institute, “Migration and Empire: The Roman Experience from Marcus Aurelius to Muhammad,” held at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. At the institute, he presented a paper, “Precipitating Collapse: Climatic Change and the Migration of the Goths.” He also presented a paper, “John Chrysostom’s Processions and the Performative Assembly of Nicene Christianity” at the North American Patristics Society in Chicago (May 2017).
