Amanda Cardwell-Aiken, Performing Fine Arts, was the Costume Designer last November for the Northwest Premiere of Dorothy’s Dictionary by EM Lewis at 21TEN Theatre, as well as, Corrib Theatre’s production of Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett. She also draped and built costumes for the Portland Revels Mid-winter revel Norse Fire. This spring they will be working with Štěpán S. Šimek of Lewis and Clark College who has made his own translations of 3 one act farces by Anton Chekhov The Bear, The Proposal and The Ravages of Tobacco at 21TEN Theatre Feb. 2/21-3/9.
Corey Pressman, Nursing and Health Innovations, launched his workbook A Rewilded Mind: An Evidence-Informed Guide to Reclaiming Your Wild Imagination. This work was commissioned by Arizona State University’s Center for Science and Imagination and is available for free download on their website.
Christopher Merideth, Education, will celebrate the launch of his publishing house Neuro-Education Press with a special event on March 1, featuring lectures and performances from UP faculty. Neuro-Education press publishes academic books and educational materials related to the intersection of neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and language studies.
