Lars Larson, English, presented “Velo-Chromo-Urbanism: Maximizing the 15-Minute City’s Range with the Problem-Solving Bicycle”; Joshua Swidzinski, English, presented “Lives under Glass: Botanical Perspectives in Abraham Cowley’s Late Poetry”; Maria Echenique, International Languages and Cultures, presented “El legado del documentalista Jorge Ruiz en El regalo de la Pachamama, del director japonés Toshifumi Matsushita (2008)”; and Matthew Warshawsky, International Languages and Cultures, presented “‘Moved by Brotherly Love’: The Relación of M. Pereyra de Paiva Describing a Visit to the Jewish Community of Cochin, India.”
Jeff Gauthier, Philosophy, was elected Vice President and President-elect of the North American Society for Social Philosophy (NASSP). NASSP supports work in mainstream philosophical analysis and the history of philosophy, along with a wide range of alternative perspectives including feminism, critical race theory, Marxism, post-colonial theory, and gender studies.
