Jacquie Van Hoomissen, biology, attended and co-presented on “Pathways to Leadership” at the 2022 NW ASCEND Alliance’s summer conference sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Van Hoomissen has also been invited to serve on the NW Partnership For Undergraduate Life Sciences leadership board. The PULSE network’s vision is to “…provide academic departments with resources and skills that promote alignment of undergraduate life sciences programs with best educational practices, including those recommended in the Vision & Change Report (2011).”
Carolyn James and Stephanie Salomone, mathematics, presented Creating and Enacting a Vision Statement to the MAA OPEN Math Workshop on Leveraging the IP Guide in Coordinating Large, Multi-section Courses. This is continuing the work of the NSF-funded, IUSE REFLECT project.

Maureen Briare, nursing, composed original music for two hymn texts written by Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., (founder of the Holy Cross Community), which are contained in a recently released collection of hymns by Moreau entitled Faithful Echoes: Hymns by Basil Moreau. Published by GIA publications. The hymns are presented in French and English, and contain musical hymn settings by various composers, and spiritual writings by Fr. Kevin Grove, C.S.C.
