Angela Hoffman, chemistry, and seven UP students presented their research at the spring national American Chemical Society meeting in San Diego. March 20 – 21. Brytney Young studied nanoparticles with Paige Hall and Kevin Cantrell; Lily Gunning presented on the physical properties of global warming with Paige Hall; Bao Huynh studied the structure of a soil bacteria product with Ed Valente and Angela Hoffman; Alex Temple identified some soil bacteria and studied their growth on different media with Angela Hoffman; Jonathan Nguyen, Hoyt Bright, and Alex Nguyen isolated antibiotics made by soil bacteria with Angela Hoffman.
