Carolyn James, Valerie Peterson, Stephanie Salomone, mathematics, planned and presented two, three-hour professional development institutes to faculty from Santa Clara University. These institutes, The Power of Conjecturing to Center Equity, and Enacting and Sustaining Instructional Change, were based on the work of the REFLECT program at UP, and addressed using student thinking to improve inclusion in the classroom, the benefits of wrong answers, understanding and adopting evidence-based practices, and visioning and enacting instructional change.
