Elizabeth Lee, institutional research, accepted an invitation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) to serve a one-year term on its Data Council. This representative team of higher education leaders will advise UP’s regional accreditation agency on advancing equity-centered transformation at NWCCU’s 163 member institutions using data-informed approaches. Tammy VanDeGrift, Shiley School of Engineering, presented “Supporting and Teaching Students at Liberal Arts Colleges in Online Courses” at the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges, Northwestern Conference (virtual but hosted by North Idaho College) on October 3. The panel featured colleagues from other Oregon institutions: Haiyan Cheng, Willamette University; Shereen Khoja, Pacific University; Anna Ritz; Reed College.
Gary Mitchell, business, wrote a textbook, (co-authored with Ted Klastorinm, UW) titled Project Management: A Risk Management Approach, published in September 2020 by SAGE Publications. The book is available in hardback and a variety of eBook formats including VitalSource and Kindle.
