All are invited to join an evening with Portland writer, food-business owner, and social practice artist Lola Milholland–UP Bookstore, 6pm, Tuesday Nov. 4.
Founder of Umi Organic, a noodle company with a commitment to providing nutritious public school lunch, Milholland recently published Group Living and Other Recipes, an exploration of the meaning of family, home, and the role of imagination in creating sustainable relationships to each other and the world around us. Join us as she shares from her work and her thinking about the intersection of the humanities with food justice, ecology, and civic life–copies of Group Living will be on hand and the event will conclude with a book signing.
Sponsored by Engaged Humanities @ UP.
