The University has received a number of gifts recently, in a variety of forms, all of which support UP’s mission far into the future. They include:
- The late Larry Rockwood (pictured) gifted his former residence on Hayden Island as part of his estate plan. Rockwood, a life regent and longtime supporter of the University, died on November 26, 2014, at the age of 93. Proceeds from the sale of the house will support UP far into the future.
- Alumnus Tony Isaia ’53 has donated $25,000 to the University in honor of Brother Godfrey Vassallo, C.S.C., and Rev. John Delaunay, C.S.C., who both influenced his spiritual and professional life. With a matching gift from his former employer, General Electric/RCA, his gift totals $50,000.
- Michael and Kiar First of Prescott, Arizona, recently donated a residence on N. Willamette Boulevard across from the University. The house will be used as a UP student residence for many years to come.
