A Mass in celebration of the opening of the 2019-2020 academic year will take place on Saturday, August 24, at 5 p.m., in the Chiles Center. Sunday Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher, with no other Masses offered that day.

Opening Mass will be held in the Chiles Center on Saturday, August 23. Faculty who plan on processing will need to be in full regalia. Those who need to order regalia are asked to e-mail Liz Evans, university events, at evanse@up.edu with name, degree, the name of the institution that awarded the degree, and height and weight. Orders must be placed no later than July 11. Faculty members’ deans will decide if faculty are responsible for payment or if their departments will pay for the rental.
Faculty robing for the Mass will be in the north lobby of the Chiles Center; those processing should arrive no later than 4 p.m. to prepare for the procession, which will begin at 4:15 p.m. A representative from Jostens will be available to assist and answer any questions with regard to regalia.
