Joshua R. Brinkerhoff, an engineering professor with the University of British Columbia Okanagan, will present “Go With The Flow: Using Computers to Investigate Turbulent Flows in Technology, the Environment, and the Human Body” on Tuesday, December 13, from 5 to 7 p.m., in Franz Hall Room 034. Brinkerhoff’s talk will explore sustainable transportation, efficient energy utilization, and environmental preservation as urgent challenges facing society, and how they share a fundamental technical property: they almost always involve fluids flowing in a turbulent state.
