Each year, UP celebrates and honors our first-generation community on November 8, according to Matt Daily. As it falls on a Sunday this year, there are a variety of plans in place over the course of several days for students, faculty, staff, and all members of the UP community. Details can be found on our National FGEN day website using this link.
Finally, we are excited to announce that noted first gen scholar and practitioner, Rashne’ Jehangir, University of Minnesota, will be offering anFGEN Day keynote address on Monday, November 9 from 9 to 10 a.m. The keynote is open to all members of the UP community. See website above for details or contact Daily at daily@up.edu.
