For UP community members who missed Schoenfeldt Distinguished Writer Jess Walter’s Nov. 1 lecture, which featured a hilarious short story on A.I. companionship, a public service message about the hollowness of ChatGPT shortcuts, and stories of literary mentorship by the likes of Kurt Vonnegut, a link to the hour-long talk will be available Nov. 6 through Nov. 15 on the Schoenfeldt Writers Series website.
You can also read an interview with Jess Walter made by undergraduate senior Lilly Grey Rudge here, and check the Beacon for an upcoming podcast episode with the author, conducted by senior Riley Martinez.
