Mary “Pat” Forker, who worked for 14 years in the payroll office, died from Alzheimer’s disease in Vancouver, Wash., on Tuesday, September 5. Word of her passing reached the University through her longtime friend and coworker, Carol Welch. Those who knew Pat would not be surprised to learn that she never missed a day of work. Despite her calm and gentle demeanor, Pat was known to explode in helpless laughter, especially at the antics and quips of her good friend and office mate Carol. She was also a quietly devout woman who rarely missed a chance to attend noon Mass in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vancouver. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pat’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 6600 Highland Dr., Vancouver, WA 98661.Pat is is survived by two brothers, John Paque and Gregory Paque; sister, Kathleen Park; husband, Bill; children, Stephen Forkner, Keely Warren, Mehgan Forkner, and Alicia Burck; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
