Portland fiction writer Kesha Ajose-Fisher will visit our campus for a public reading Tuesday April 2 from 5-6 p.m. in the UP Bookstore.
Her collection of short stories No God Like the Mother won the 2020 Oregon Book Award, and the book has recently been reprinted in a beautiful edition by Forest Avenue Press. Ajose-Fisher—who was raised in Lagos, Nigeria and has been part of the Portland literary scene in recent years—has much to share about what went into these vivid stories of hope, longing, language, and thriving in our troubled global world.
