A team of five senior operations and technology management majors from the Pamplin School of Business Administration placed first in the West Coast 7th Annual Student Case Competition, sponsored by APICS (Association for Operations Management). The competition, held in Phoenix, Arizona, featured 14 undergraduate teams and 11 graduate teams from schools and universities in five western states and Mexico. The team consisted of seniors Tommy French, Andrew Hadfield, Keith Hummel, Elyse Landreville, and Deven Ropes. The competition challenges teams with a case study based on a real company with a specific operations management problem. The teams developed solutions and presented them in written form and in an oral presentation. For more information contact the Pamplin School at 7224.
