Operations & Technology Management Symposium, Oct. 19

October 13, 2017

The Pamplin School of Business will present the Operations and Technology Operations Symposium on Thursday, October 19, 4 to 7 p.m., in the Bauccio Commons. The event is part of the Bauccio Lecture Series. Attendees can network with thought leaders and be inspired by top corporations using the latest strategies in information technology, operations, and data management.

The keynote, “Innovation, Trends, and Strategy,” will be delivered by Mike Malin, Nike vice president of IT product and merchandising solutions. Session speakers are Vikas Sharma and Keith Burton, both of Intel Corporation.

Cost is $50 per person, which includes networking reception, certificate, and digital badge. To register go to sites.up.edu/otm.

Natalie Nelson-Marsh, communication studies, participated as a panelist at the BizWomen Coalition Thought Leader Forum on January 26. Nelson-Marsh was invited as an expert to participate in the discussion of “Organizational Transformation – The Impact of COVID on the Future of Work.” Nelson-Marsh also attended a Western States Communication Association (WSCA) Teaching Workshop about “Preparing Students to Self-Advocate and Articulate the Value of Communication to Future Employers.”
