Ken Struckmeier has joined the School of Education as Director of Student Placements. Ken was previously an Adjunct Professor at Lewis and Clark College and has 20 years of leadership experience in the Beaverton School District where he served as Executive Administrator for Middle Schools, Administrator for Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment, Principal, and Assistant Principal. Ken started his educational career as a high school social studies teacher and taught for 12 years in Florence, Oregon, and Hillsboro, Oregon.
A 1991 graduate from UP, Ken also earned a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University. As a leader, Ken focused on coaching teachers to improve practice and to develop collective efficacy with colleagues. He is eager to work with UP students as they develop their skills and embark on careers helping learners meet their full potential. Welcome, Ken!
