There will be a free screening of the documentary “Señorita Extraviada” (“Missing Young Women”) on Wednesday, February 27, at 5 p.m., in Buckley Center room 310. Lourdes Portillo’s film documents the horrific crimes against women which have occurred since 1993 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. There will also be a march and candlelight vigil for the women of Ciudad Juarez on Friday, March 1, beginning at 4:30 p.m., beginning on the front steps of Waldschmidt Hall. Participants will walk around campus with traditional pink crosses and candles and end at the Chapel of Christ the Teacher for a candlelight vigil and reading of names of the victims.
